<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif;font-size:small">VS2008 is known to be problematic with heavily templated code, such as ITK. VS2010 is improved, and VS2012 further improved in this regard. Try the latest <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/express/">express edition</a> to see if it makes a difference.</div>
