Medical Imaging and Digital Surgery, Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced
Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences</span></b><span style="font-size:12pt;color:black" lang="EN-US"><br>

</span><span style="font-size:11pt;color:black" lang="EN-US">Research Lab for Medical Imaging and Digital Surgery is a core
unit of the Institute
 of Biomedical and Health
Engineering. </span><span style="font-size:11pt" lang="EN-US">The Lab focuses on upstream research on biomedical image processing,
computer aided diagnosis, digital surgery, as well as their clinical
applications. The lab is currently composed of 5 principal investigators, 5 R
&amp; D (research and development) staff and 12 postgraduate students. </span></p>

<p class="" style><span style="font-size:11pt" lang="EN-US"> </span><span style="font-size:11pt" lang="EN-US">The lab has grabbed and
participated a wide variety of grants, including Major State Basic Research
Program (973 Program), National High Technology Research and Development
Program (863 Program), Key Joint Program of National Natural Science Foundation
and Guangdong Province, National Science and Technology Pillar Program during
the Twelfth Five-year Plan Period, and General Program of National Natural
Science Foundation. </span>

</p><p class=""><span style="font-size:11pt;color:black" lang="EN-US"> </span><span style="font-size:11pt;color:black" lang="EN-US">The
lab has 1-2 post-doctoral positions available. The supervisor will be Prof
Qingmao HU, who is the lab director and has been honored as prestigious
professor of both Shenzhen and the Hundred Talent Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences</span>.<br></p><p class=""><span style="font-size:11pt;color:black" lang="EN-US">

research and good teamwork spirit; <br>
2</span><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:仿宋_GB2312;color:black">）</span><span style="font-size:11pt;color:black" lang="EN-US">Receiving PhD in relevant fields
such as image processing, pattern recognition, applied mathematics and biomedical
engineering within 3 years;<br>
3</span><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:仿宋_GB2312;color:black">）</span><span style="font-size:11pt;color:black" lang="EN-US">Being good in English, and
having published at least 1 paper on prestigious journals and/or conferences as
the first author.<br>

<p class=""><span style="font-size:11pt;color:black" lang="EN-US">The candidates are expected to carry out in-depth
research on multi-modality medical image analysis, mainly on segmentation and non-linear
registration. Experience with processing neuroimages of cerebral glioma will be
a plus. <br>
