VTK/Examples/Cxx/Widgets/ImplicitPlaneWidget2
From KitwarePublic
Jump to navigationJump to searchThis example shows how to use the second generation ImplicitPlaneWidget2 to interactively define the clipping plane for a polydata. If no arguments are specified, a vtkSphereSource generates the polydata. By specifying a .vtp file, the example can operate on arbitrary polydata.
For example, try VTKData/Data/cow.vtp.

Download and Build ImplicitPlaneWidget2
Click here to download ImplicitPlaneWidget2. and its CMakeLists.txt file.
Once the tarball ImplicitPlaneWidget2.tar has been downloaded and extracted,
cd ImplicitPlaneWidget2/build
- If VTK is installed:
cmake ..
- If VTK is not installed but compiled on your system, you will need to specify the path to your VTK build:
cmake -DVTK_DIR:PATH=/home/me/vtk_build ..
Build the project:
make
and run it:
./ImplicitPlaneWidget2
WINDOWS USERS PLEASE NOTE: Be sure to add the VTK bin directory to your path. This will resolve the VTK dll's at run time.
