Third-Party Library Patrol

About

The Third-Party Library Patrol is a group of developers who commit to regularly update the versions of third party libraries that are carried along with ITK in the Utilities directory.

The ideal schedule of updates is to bring the third-party libraries to their most-recent version, before every quarterly release of ITK.

Shared Code

Note that ITK and VTK both use many of the same 3rd party libraries. However, each has its own separate copy in source control. When updating a library, check if the library is used by both ITK and VTK, ideally, both should be updated together and kept in sync.

Members

The following sections list the members of the patrol for each one of the Third Party Libraries distributed with ITK. Most of these libraries are hosted in the Insight/Utilities directory.
