[ITK] [ITK-users] Conceptual Question regarding ResampleImageFilter example

Hi there,

Just a conceptual question about the Resample Image Filter example, located
here -
http://www.itk.org/Wiki/ITK/Examples/ImageProcessing/ResampleImageFilter


I see that the example creates a 100x100 image, and then resamples it to be
200x200. However, I don't quite understand the purpose of the identity
transform used for the transform type. Why is the identity transform used
here? Wouldn't the same result be obtained without an transform?
