Hello,

You can look at the example here [1]. If you simplify it, it should
accomplish what you are looking for. It will use GDCM to read your DICOM
and the output image is saved in the format of your choosing based on the
extension of the output file. Beware that when saving your image in JPEG
you might have compression artifact and loss in image quality. You can also
use other widely used formats such as TIFF to avoid these issues.
