As a continuation of our discussions today,
it may be of interest to take a look at the
following mailing thread in the VXL list.

It was originated by a question from Karthik
regarding the possibility of reporting iteration
events from VNL optimizers.

Among the proposed solutions, Exceptions are
mentioned and some of the pros and cons are
discussed in this thread.
