Hi everyone:
I have arranged for a local publisher to publish the book. We need to
deliver the book by January 30th so that we can have copies to distribute at
the SPIE meeting.
I can get 200 copies published for about $3000. My tentative plan is to
bring 100 to SPIE and give them away there and then have the others for
later distribution.
I looked at the latest version of the book and we have most of the material,
but there are some things we need to finish to publish the book. So let us
get an update from the chapters today on the tcon and discuss how we can
finish this in time, since I realize we still have limited funds left on
this phase of the project.
My strategy would be to take whatever we have by Christmas and then I will
start reviewing it along with my editor and Kevin Gary. While I would like
to have a complete book, if there are pieces missing, we will have to fill
the holes the best we can so we can move forward. I am concerned that if we
don't get the book out now, I am not sure when we will finish it,
particularly when the next phase of the project starts and we want to focus
on other things.
Please let me know if you cannot participate in the tcon today.
Thanks
Kevin
