In the ConnectedComponentImageFilter, we use FullyConnectedOn()/Off().
This allows the user to specify two cases: face connected (4 connected 
in 2D) or face+edge+vertex connected (8 connected in 2D).  

This is cleanest mechanism I have come up with for specifying this relationship
in ND.

Hi,

I have implemented a more efficient algorithm for reconstruction by  
dilatation than geodesic dilatation run to convergence.
I'm searching a name to give to the method which allows user to choose  
connectivity (4- or 8-connectivity for 2 dimensions, 6- or 26-connectivity  
for 3 dimensions, ...), and I can't find a filter in ITK where I could  
find this name.
Which name, independent of dimension, should I take ?
