[Insight-developers] SPROC failures on SGI

Multi-threading experts,

When using SPROC on SGI MipsPro 7.4 compiler, most of the tests (494) fail
with the following:

ITK test driver caught an ITK exception:
/scratch/purify/Testing/SGI/Insight/Code/Common/itkMultiThreader.cxx:368:
itk::ERROR: MultiThreader(102f51e8): Exception occurred during
SingleMethodExecute


After switching to use pthreads, this problem went away, and only 6 test
fail (for non-threading reasons).

More test failure information can be gleaned from the kraepelin dashboards.
I made the switch to pthreads on Tuesday October 31, 2006.
