Hello,

Could someone please apply this patch?

There is a bug in metaImageIO related to stream reading when the first  
dimension of the requested region is not the full size.

The patch and further information is attached to the bug report. The  
patch also enhances stream writing by maximizing the written chuck.  
This was the same code fixed in the stream read, moved to the writing  
methods.
