[Insight-developers] [Insight-users] Installing ITK on Macbook

hi,
A. Sounds like a case of missing environment variables, ITK_SOURCE_DIR and ITK_BINARY_DIR (which point to source and binary directories resp.)
I tried to install ITK 3.16 and in moving to xcode as my default native compiler & I get:
Make Error at /Applications/CMake 2.6-4.app/Contents/share/cmake-2.6/Modules/CMakeDetermineCompilerABI.cmake:23 (FILE):  file STRINGS file  "/Volumes/HOBBES/InsightToolkit-3.16.0/CMakeFiles/CMakeDetermineCompilerABI_C.bin"  cannot be read.
Note: HOBBES is an external drive that I use on my mac.
Please let us know. Thanks in advance.

hi pooja,

i m working on a macbook pro daily, ther should not be any problem.

Do you work with an istallation of ITK, or do you try to compile it from source?
if you try to compile it from source, which sources are you using (a
cvs checkout of the sourece or a tarball of the 3.16 release?)

can you copy / paste the error message here?
