1) Please read the Tutorials:

    In particular:
    http://www.itk.org/CourseWare/Training/GettingStarted-I.pdf

2) Then download the ITK Software Guide

      http://www.itk.org/ItkSoftwareGuide.pdf

    and read the introductory chapters.

3)  Then, please subscribe to the users-mailing list:
     http://www.itk.org/mailman/listinfo/insight-users

     and post there any questions that you may
     have regarding the use of ITK.




Please note that the itk-developers mailing list is
dedicates to discussions about the development
of internal code for ITK.
