Hi,

I guess the issue on the normal filter can be fixed by changing 2 lines, as follows:

 * line 201: u *= norm2_u; by  u *= vcl_sqrt( norm2_u );
 
and
 
 * line 208: v *= norm2_v; by v *= vcl_sqrt( norm2_v );
