Hi Zein,

You can subsample an image using the Shrink image filter:

http://www.itk.org/Insight/Doxygen/html/classitk_1_1ShrinkImageFilter.html
(notice that this filter is not smoothing before subsampling
as is desirable in order to prevent aliasing effects).

or can Extract (crop) a subregion from the image using:

http://www.itk.org/Insight/Doxygen/html/classitk_1_1ExtractImageFilter.html
