When I finally took the 45 minutes or so it took me to read
http://www.cmake.org/HTML/CMake.pdf, I realized it would have saved me a
lot of pain if I had done so earlier.

I think the reason I didn't is because I hate PDF.  If it had been HTML,
a man page, or a usage statement, I would have done it already.  I
started to convert the PDF to HTML, but it took more than five minutes,
so I gave up.

People are funny that way.
