Hi,

I may be able to shed some light on the confusion regarding the magic
no in the GIPL file format: The GIPL file format originates from Guys
Hospital in London (GIPL = Guys Image Processing Library) and as far
as I know the magic no number used in these files is 719555000.
Somehow the GIPL file seems to have spread to UNC and in the process
acquired a new magic number (4026526128). Probably it is best to
support both magic numbers...
