If there is no itk::MeshFileWriter or similar...

How could I save geometry data in a file, using only
itk (Geometry Representation Object) classes ???

I have worked with VTK classes (vtkPolyData and 
superclasses..) and I would like to use a data
container
in ITK with a similar functionality to vtkPolyData.

Could it be possible to read a .vtk file (vtkPolyData)

with a itk class??
