[Insight-users] watershed algorithm

Hi everybody,


I am interested in the watershed filter in ITK, especially for 3D images. 

I would like to know what is reference algorithm for the implementation. I
know watershed, but apparently it is a kind of hierarchical watershed.
I haven't found any reference in the code, so maybe you can enlight me
(paper reference) ?
