Hi Zach,
The projects in
http://caddlab.rad.unc.edu/itkProjects/
are unfortunately not all upto date.
The Shape prior classes are already in working state.
You might want to look at the examples in:
Insight/Testing/Code/Algorithms/
itkGeodesicActiveContourShapePriorLevelSetImageFilterTest.cxx
itkGeodesicActiveContourShapePriorLevelSetImageFilterTest_2.cxx
