ITK course at SPIE Medical Imaging 2005

Medical Image Segmentation and Registration with ITK
8:30AM to 5:30PM : Saturday 12 Feb 2005 : SPIE 2005, San Diego, CA

This course introduces attendees to the basic concepts of the ITK 
Toolkit. The course describes the procedure for downloading and 
installing the toolkit and covers the use of the basic data 
representation and filtering classes. Attendees learn how to use the 
major ITK components for segmentation of medical images and how to 
combine ITK components for performing medical image registration. This 
course will enable you to:
  • download and install the ITK toolkit
  • start your own software project based on ITK
  • design and construct an image processing pipeline
  • combine ITK filters for performing segmentation of medical images
  • combine ITK components for performing image registration

INTENDED AUDIENCE: This course is intended for anyone involved in 
medical image analysis. In particular it targets graduate students, 
researchers and professionals in the areas of computer science and 
medicine. Attendees should have an intermediate level on object oriented 
  programming with C++ and must be familiar with the basics of medical 
image processing and analysis.
