Hi Diego,
When you say "to use a ratio for each dimension"
do you mean "to use a different radio for each dimension" ?
If so, the answer is yes, as long as you are aware that
in that case the front propagation properties of this filter
will become anisotropic, and the front will move faster along
one direction than the other.
Is that the effect that you want to achieve ?
