Hi, Luis:

Thank you very much for your advice.
I have started to read Proposals:Orientation document and it may take me
a while to fully understand it.

In fact, I am more concerning the meaning of some ITK functions, such
as, GetTransform()->GetCenter(), Calculator->GetCenterOfGravity(). In
ITK 2.6.0, are they the offsets in LPS coordinate system? Or the offsets
in image coordinate system? Or something else when, say, a coronal image
volume is loaded?

Andrew,

You may find useful to read the discussion about
Image orientation proposal:

  http://www.itk.org/Wiki/Proposals:Orientation

The current consensus is that the orientation
information of the DICOM header should *not* be
applied to the image Origin.

Regards,

    Luis
