Your guess is correct, usually PET images will have lower
resolution and therefore they require to use less shrinkage
when set in th framework of multi-resolution registration.

What are the resolutions of the images that you are trying
to register ?

                         SampleInputs


and the file PracPETToPD.txt

is that the case ?
