Hi Xiahai,

The element types that you listed are differentiated by their  
material and strain-displacement matrices.   These relationships are  
used to construct the stiffness matrix, K, which provides unique  
explicit regularization for the resulting image registration  
solution.  Further details can
be gleaned from any standard FEM textbook.
