[Insight-users] Question on optimizers

Dear Sir or Madam,
 
It seems that all the examples of optimizers are given under registration application. I just wonder if there are some examples for using these optimizers to optimizer some user defined energy function instead of those registration-related metrics? If not, how should we write a class of energy function in order to utilize the valuable optimizer library. Thank you.sincerely
