Hi,
Many medical applications present a volumetric image with a 3-plane
display. If we're going to be using ITK, what's the best way to
get the slices?
I see that ITK-SNAP has a filter called IRISSlicer
[c.f. http://public.kitware.com/pipermail/insight-users/2003-May/003713.html]
that does just this.
Then I noticed that ITK already has ExtractImageFilter, which also
appears to be able to extract a slice from a 3D image.
Has anyone examined the relative merits of the two filters? Is
one faster? More accurate?
Thanks,
-Steve
