[Insight-users] ITK.. parallel processing?

Hi Rick,

ITK supports shared-memory parallel processing
but not distributed-memory parallel processing.

In other words,

If you have a computer with multiple-processors,
ITK will take advantage of them.

If you have a cluster of machines, ITK will not
take advantage of it.


Were you planning to use these two Ubuntu machines
as a cluster ? ( it will be a bit of a small cluster...).

Or are those machines multiprocessors, or multi-cores
and you were looking into taking advantage of the
multiple processors ?

BTW: What type of image registration are you interested in ?
