[Insight-users] reading only a part of dicom image

Hi,

  is there a way in ITK's dicom/gdcm to read only a subsample, eg. slice
out of a huge dicom image? I thought ImageIOBase::SetIORegion should
do but as far as i can tell it does not work.

Is there support in gdcm itself for this kind of operation? Acording to todo
it seems to me, it is still work in progress (extent support):

Am i right? Is support planned for ITK?
