Hi Ruben,


             Do you mean "HDF5"  ?


If so, ITK does not support this file format yet.

We are in the process of adding the MINC2 file format,
that is now based on HDR. This is taken from a contribution
posted to the Insight Journal:

Note that VTK does support HDF5 at some level, therefore if
you have some time pressure, you could read your file with
VTK and convert the vtkImageData to an itkImage
