"As far we know, ManagedITK will not work with Mono (and hence on Linux 
platforms supporting by Mono). ManagedITK is not 100% managed code, it 
depends on the Microsoft.VC80.CRT side-by-side assemblies. This dependency 
binds it to the Windows platform. There has been some talk of migrating 
WrapITK (a separate project) to a pure SWIG implementation which could 
allow for the generation of 100% pure C# wrappers (which would probably be 
compatible with Mono)."
