[Insight-users] What is the role of landmarks in FEM registration

Dear insight users,

I couldn't find an explanation about the role of landmarks in FEM
registration. I can guess that using two sets of landmarks (fixed and
moving), the FEM registration can become an alternative to Kernel
registration.
Am I right?
