[Insight-users] ImageSeriesReader and dimensions or number of slices

Hello *,

seems I am to thick to get the number of 'slices' out of an 
ImageSeriesReader object. Reading the itk docu, Googling and staring at 
the reader's member variables such as ImageIO at a breakpoint did not help.

Is there a better way than to count the entries in m_filenames (or write 
a temporary MetaImage... if one serializes the data via MetaImageIO, the 
'dimension' count is fine...)

Hints, even a RTFM _with_ a page reference ;) most welcome.
