Hi Martin,

Would it be possible for you to provide a patch?
I would be pleased to review it, and commit it in ITK cvs.

Also, have you looked at Nick's contribution http://insight-journal.org/browse/publication/285 
  ?
The colors are not associated to a specific pixel value, but maybe it  
would be ok for you?
