Hi Serena,
Thanks for the update.
The new error message indicates that the number of samples
landing in the overlapping region between the FixedImageRegion
and the moving image is too small.
This is usually an indication of:
A) A poorly initialized Transform, or
B) A transform that went too far
usually due to a misconfigured optimizer
C) Setting the number of samples
to a value that is too small.
Let's start with (A),.... how are you initializing
the Transform used to compute the value of MI
in the local small regions ?
