Hi Adithya
The effect of the Advection term is to move the Zero set
in the direction of the Advection field.
The Advection field is an image of Vectors that is computed
in such a way that the vectors are pointing towards the edges
of the object that you want to segment.
Usually you want to use advection only at the last stages of
the Level Set evolution, when the zero set is already very
close to the edges.
Filters such as the GeodesicActiveContours compute the Advection
field for you. However, if you wish, you can compute your own
advection field and connect it to the Level Set filter.
