[Insight-users] interpretation of the joint histogram in user handbook

Dear all,
In the user handbook section 8.5.3 Plotting joint histograms, it plot a joint histogram of figure 8.16. However, it doesn't show  what does x/y axis mean. How to interpret the generated joint histogram? What pattern of figure means a good registration?
