I think it would look cleaner if the layout was more like:

*Release 3.16 (September 15 2009)*
The latest documentation links, etc.

*CVS Access*

*Legacy Releases*
List version numbers with dates and have each one link to a separate page
that has the old documentation links.

Or even better, maybe just a "Click here for information from Legacy
releases" and just copy and paste the giant list that is currently on
software.html onto that page (maybe legacy.html)?

Just my $.02.
