[Insight-users] Convert 3D images to DICOM format

Hi all, 

I have a 3D image in NIFTI format. Is it possible to convert this to a
series of 2D DICOM images? 

I have looked at itkImageSeriesWriter but this requires GDCMSeriesFileNames
that will generate the file names for the series. I am not sure how to
initialize a GDCMSeriesFileNames from a single NIFTI file. Also, is it
possible to pass the header information in NIFTI to DICOM using
Set/GetMetaDataDictionaryArray ?
