Hi Elad,


1) This may be what you are looking for

     "Gray matter segmentation"

2)  I presume that you are doing this from MRI images,
     is that right ?

     If so, have you evaluated if there is a need
     for correcting field inhomogeneities in your image ?


3)  There are multiple methods that you could
     use for gray matter segmentation.

      In Slicer you will find implementations of

      * Region Growing

      as well as more sophisticated methods such as

      * EM Segmentation
