[Insight-users] Open Source V3D v2.526 and V3D-ITK project released!

hi luis, bill,
speaking solely for the biologists in my institute that handle
confocal microscopy images, the license, and the fact that V3D
supposes that the image fits in memory (and crashes otherwise) are the
two reasons why we're not using it. Note that unlike some other public
labs, we have a technology transfer part spelled out in our objectives
and thus are very sensitive about licenses.
Hope that will help giving incentives for a change both in license and
design (out-of core processing seems the only way to go for microscopy
images as we foresee that images will get bigger faster than memory
will).
