[Insight-users] Determining how many slices a 3D object covers

Hello all,

I have some labelled images produced from ITK's connected component / 
relabel filter. I would like
to determine how many slices thick an object is and potentially filter 
it out based on this value. Is this possible
with current ITK filters? I see that ShapeLabelObjects produced from 
label maps have a GetFlatness() function
but I am unable to find any documentation on it.
