[Insight-users] how to open a 16-bit image

Hi

I want to open a 16-bit unsigned image with ITK (it is black and white) .
Does it mean that I have to define the pixel type as "unsigned short
integer"? because it takes 2 bytes of memory which is the same as 16 bits.
