Dear itk users,
A dataset for hippocampus MRI segmentation is available for download from
http://www.radiologyresearch.org/HippocampusSegmentationDatabase/
The data set contains MR images of 50 subjects, 40 of which are patients with temporal lobe epilepsy and the rest are nonepileptic subjects. Hippocampal outlines are provided as label volumes for 25 subjects for training. The remaining 25 images are for testing your algorithm. Feel free to download and use the dataset.
Since most of the subjects have temporal lobe epilepsy which may have abnormality in the temporal lobe, such as hippocampal atrophy, you may notice a decrease in performance of your algorithm in comparison with hippocampus segmentation of healthy subjects. This is normal, so do not hesitate to report your results even if they are unpleasant.
