[Insight-users] NIFTI to BMP and BMP to NIFTI

Did you mean series of BMP images? Bacause BMP is 2D formtat while NIFTI is
3D? Or you are dealing with 2D images stored in NIFTI format?

That conversion can be done. There are examples in ITK, such as
ImageReadSeriesWrite. However you will lose all meta-information as well as
Z-spacing.
