[Insight-users] header for raw image file

Dear Dan,

Thanks. I know the document.
I have a binary raw file with a header.
Header starts by ascii comment and 
this is different from metaimage header file .mhd.
ITK-SNAP can read this binary file and
shows headesize, dimensions, originand so on.
ITK-SNAP may user ITK and how does it read such
a raw file's header ?
