[Insight-users] convert MRI to CT by changing dicom header

I'm sure that you can take the image pixels from an MR image and pack it into a CT image, but it would be an extremely bad idea.

The planning system is going to believe that those pixels represent HU values and they don't. The computed dose will have no bearing on reality.

Subject: [Insight-users] convert MRI to CT by changing dicom header

Hi,

We would like to import MRI images for radiation treatment planning but the planning system only takes CT images. Is there a way to fool the system by changing MRI dicom headers into CT headers? Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Bryant
