[Insight-users] Registration out-of-plane

Good afternoon,

I need to register two 2D images that are not aligned out-of-plane.
I need to use rigid registration to solve the problem and determine the
angle between the two images.
Is possible to use a transformation with 3 dimension between two 2D images?
Do you know some itk example where this approach is applied?
I can block the optimization in the X and Y direction, so the method only
will update in the Z direction.
