The '-rc4' should not be a problem. I have built ITK with CMake 
3.0.0-rc4 myself, but on Windows with VS 2012 compiler + ninja... so 
I'm surprised to hear of this problem. Hopefully somebody else can 
chime in with some ideas to help you out.
