[ITK-users] MATLAB with ITK/VTK?

hi itk users,
I came across something called SimITK.. its seems that it is easy to
experiment on various algorithms.. i was think of using it for developing a
standalone application using SimITK...  could anyone please point out the
advantages and disadvantges of SimITK?
